Proud History-Lasting Legacy
The last eleven decades have produced profound change in the North American paper industry. Wausau Paper today is the last paper company headquartered in Wisconsin. We draw upon many proud, successful and forward looking histories as our guide to the future. The two perhaps most well known predecessor companies, Wausau Paper Mills Company and Mosinee Paper Corporation, merged together in 1997 to become "Wausau Paper." In March 1998, the company moved its listing to the New York Stock Exchange.
